Natalie Blanchard is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a graduate of Charity Hospital School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA in 1992 where she first became a Registered Nurse. Her educational accomplishments also include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of South Alabama in Mobile in 1998 and a Master of Nursing from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA in 2000.
The training she has received as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse has become an avenue for Natalie to express her love of working with the community. Admired and respected by her peers, Natalie was recognized as one of the top 20 nurses in Acadiana in 2009. Her clinical experience incorporates primary care services, including but not limited to health screenings, education on health promotion, disease prevention, managing chronic disease processes and acute illnesses to deliver holistic care. In the past, one facet of her work has involved caring for high risk populations including the homeless, those with substance abuse, addiction disorders, and various mental health disorders. Additionally, her work in primary care has awarded her the opportunity to assist individuals with a variety of medical diagnoses.
Natalie is licensed and certified to evaluate and diagnose various medical conditions, order diagnostics and prescribe medications and other therapeutic services. More than just diagnosis and treatment, Natalie is passionate about providing education regarding health care to individuals and their families. Her expertise as a primary health care provider enables her to evaluate individuals thoroughly by reviewing the patient’s medical history, providing a brief physical exam, medication review, and assist with medication management when needed. Natalie enjoys a team-based approach by working with the Neuropsychologist, Psychologists, and Counselors on staff and consulting with physicians and other health care providers as needed to help individuals attain optimal mental health.
