Our Team

Darren M. Strother, PhD, MP

Dr. Darren M. Strother is a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist and Medical Psychologist. He has been practicing in Lafayette, LA since 2006. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, Louisiana Psychological Association,  Louisiana Association of Medical Psychologists, National Academy of Neuropsychology, and International Neuropsychological Society.  He holds a Master's degree in experimental psychology from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a PhD in clinical psychology from The University of Mississippi. He completed a one year internship at Baylor College of Medicine, with a focus in neuropsychology. After receiving his doctorate, he completed a two year fellowship in neuropsychology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, TX. He also holds a Master's degree in clinical psychopharmacology, and is licensed as a medical psychologist through Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Strother remains active in research. Research interests include brain plasticity and cortical reorganization after neurological injury, prenatal drug exposure and attention, and the relationship between attention and memory. Dr. Strother's research interests led to the development of a technological device used to aid medication management of ADHD and as an alternative treatment for ADHD. The device has awarded patent pending status by the United States Patent Office. Dr. Strother specializes in the assessment of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury, Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders, Tourette's and Movement Disorders, Developmental Delay, Dementia, and Chronic Pain.

​Jean Boudreaux, PhD

Dr. Jean A. Boudreaux is licensed as a Psychologist in Louisiana and Mississippi.  He has practiced in Lafayette since 2009. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, a Master's degree in Theology and Christian Ministry from Franciscan University of Steubenville, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Jackson State University. He completed his internship with the Southern Mississippi Psychological Internship Consortium. Dr. Boudreaux provides psychological assessment services and treatment to children, adolescents and adults. He has experience and interest in the evaluation and treatment of pain disorders, substance abuse, ADHD, conduct problems, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and learning disorders. Additionally, Dr. Boudreaux frequently provides pre-surgical, psychological evaluations. He also has a background in law enforcement psychology, as well as providing criminal forensic evaluations.

Jensen Bergeron, LPC

Mr. Jensen J. Bergeron is a licensed professional counselor currently in private practice in the Lafayette area. He received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2001 and his Master's degree in Community Counseling from the University of Denver in 2005. He served as an Affiliate Counselor, Trainer, and Facilitator with Business Health Services and formerly Acadiana EAP for 7 years while also serving as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for 8 years. He continues to serve individuals with chronic pain, disabilities, and those in vocational transition through his work with individuals involved in the Worker's Compensation process. Mr. Bergeron has worked with individuals, couples and families to help them cope and navigate a broad range of challenges . However, his truest vocation and greatest passion lies at home with his incredible wife, four rambunctious boys, and two rescue dogs.

Gina Gibson, PhD

Dr. Gibson is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist. She is board certified in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) since 2014. In addition to her work in private practice, she serves as a staff psychologist and neuropsychologist at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs in Lafayette since 2009. She is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN), National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), and the International Neuropsychological Society (INS). Dr. Gibson holds a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Louisiana Lafayette and a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Louisiana Tech University. She completed a one year internship at the Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System in Biloxi, MS. After receiving her Doctorate, Dr. Gibson completed a two year fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, FL. Dr. Gibson specializes in the assessment of memory disorders, traumatic brain injury, stroke, epilepsy/seizure disorders, ADHD, Learning Disorders, movement disorders, and co-morbid emotional disorders.

Doris Nevin, PhD, MP

Dr. Nevin is licensed as a Psychologist in Louisiana, Virginia, and New Mexico. She is also a Medical Psychologist in Louisiana, with licensure though the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, as well as a Prescribing Psychologist in New Mexico. Dr. Nevin is also a member of the American Psychological Association and the Louisiana Academy of Medical Psychologists. After her schooling, Dr. Nevin worked in community mental health in eastern Appalachia for nearly three years. This was followed by entering private practice as a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist in Roanoke. Dr. Nevin has three years of experience in providing Psychiatric Services for medical patients while on Medical Staff at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico. At the same time, she provided outpatient psychiatric services in Southern New Mexico. Dr. Nevin specializes in medication management and some psychotherapies for adults, adolescents, and older children for a variety of mental health conditions.
